DEAR PARENT/GUARDIAN OF A 2012 CCPA SENIOR!
We are quickly approaching the end of the school year. It seems just like yesterday that the 2011-2012 school year began and this graduating class was beginning their final journey as CCPA students. As we come to the close of this chapter in your son/daughter’s high school experience at CCPA it is our goal to make sure that everyone finishes strong! We want to take a few moments of your time to update you on some opportunities, important dates and events that will take place over the next few weeks!
ATTENDANCE! We understand that in the last weeks of school that “SENIORITIS” sets in and student’s begin to feel that their grades are good enough and they think that they do not need to be in school or they think that being thirty or forty minutes late isn’t going to hurt. This is a HUGE misconception! It is very important that attendance be a priority especially for Senior’s! This is the final push to maintain or even boost that GPA before going into college! Please help your son/daughter by encouraging PROMPT ATTENDANCE at school!
OUTSTANDING FEES: Any outstanding student fees, uniform fees or fees for lost, destroyed or damaged books will keep your son/daughter from receiving his/her diploma. Please contact the school to confirm the status of your student. Book fees will not be determined until Senior’s last day May 4th if applicable.
LAST DAY FOR SENIORS: The last day for all Senior’s is Friday, May 4, 2012. This however is not the last day of assignments! The Senior Project will be in full motion and students should be completing a job shadowing project and preparing a final presentation before graduation. PROM! APRIL 21, 2012 Theme: Hollywood Nights Prom will be hosted by The Madison Event Center in Covington, KY. This is a beautiful venue and the students are going to have a great time! Dinner is included in the price of the ticket. Tickets are $40.00 per person. Students will have a chance to raise funds for their prom ticket with the “Spare –A-Dollar” fundraiser!
SENIOR PICTURES: Many of you have asked about Senior Pictures! If you have not booked a Senior Photo session already, time is running out! Senior pictures need to be turned in to the front office to Mrs. Andrea Cope NO LATER THAN May 18th. Yearbooks will be available in August for $20. We do this in order to capture pictures from every event thru the end of the year. Please get your photos in!
BABY PICTURES and any other school pictures you may have!: WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! During the graduation ceremony we will relive many moments of your son/daughter’s famous moments at CCPA. We like to reminisce! In our presentation we also like to look at the beginning years and compare the darling faces of their baby years to the fine young men and women they have developed into over the years. Please take some time to select your favorite baby photo and any other school pictures you may have and submit it to Mrs. Andrea (Watson) Cope in the front office no later than April 13th. It is very helpful if the photo is a clear photo and is at least a 5X7 or 8 x10. We will scan the photo and return it to you on the spot! Thanks in advance for your help with this project!
GRADUATION: Graduation will be Thursday, MAY 31, 2012 at the Cincinnati Museum Center at the Reakirt Auditorium. PLEASE BE ADVISED that balloons are not permitted in the museum center. Please keep balloons at home for the graduation party! Seating will be limited. Students will be issued 5 tickets for family to attend. Only seven (7) additional tickets will available for purchase per student. Cost per ticket is $3.00.
DIPLOMA’S: Diploma’s will NOT be issued the night of graduation. Graduating Senior’s or their parent/guardian will be permitted to come to the school on Friday, June 1, 2012 and sign for the diploma. Please be reminded that diploma’s will be issued ONLY if all school fees have been paid.

CAP and GOWN: Most students have submitted payment for the graduation cap and gown. If you have not ordered the cap and gown it is necessary to contact Mrs. Andrea (Watson) Cope immediately. Caps and Gowns will be delivered early May. If you are planning to have the cap and gown as part of the Senior portrait session, contact Mrs. Andrea (Watson) Cope for further assistance.
GRADUATION PHOTOS AND DVD: Graduation photo’s will be taken of each student in their cap and gown and while receiving their diploma case. Photos will be taken throughout the evening and the graduation will be recorded. This is your opportunity to pre-order the pictures and Graduation DVD, or you may order and pay for any of these items the night of graduation. Payment can be made in cash or credit card only.
All orders will be available for pick up by June 8, 2012.
All Photo Disc $30.00 The All Photo disc will include all photo’s taken the night of graduation. Usually amounts to 225+ photos taken.
Student Photo Disc $20.00 The Student Photo disc will include all photo’s individual and group that are taken of son/daughter the night of graduation. Usually amounts to over 100 photos.
Graduation DVD $15.00 The Graduation Video will capture and preserve the memories of this momentous occasion. You will have the chance to relive over and over the moment your son/daughter walked across the platform to receive his/her high school diploma. A joyous event you can share with family and friends for years to come.
